This was one of a few VHS tapes in a series that Tim Arnold videotaped at the storage area of his house, which as you may know, has one of the largest pinball machine collections in the world. Originally taped in the spring of 1997 and issued on VHS, this dvd starts with a Bally Miami Beach bingo, the first with a screen in the head of the game. Tim demonstrates how this game works. Next is a Belgium Sirmo's Manhattan Bingo, made in 1981. Tim explains the "OK" feature on this bingo. Deluxe, explaining features such as the red letter game, magic lines, and lit rollovers. Next it's time to talk pinball! Tim covers a 1961 Gottlieb Show Boat wedgehead. Tim tells us some interesting trivia related to this game and some great restoration tips too. Don't miss a special appearance by Bob The Cat. Next up is a 1961 Gottlieb Big Casino. Tim mentions how artist Roy Parker brought other characters from previous pins into a newer game. Daisy Mae and a character from Square Head for example, are seen on Big Casino's backglass. Tim also explains the double match number feature on this game. Next is a 1968 Gottlieb Royal Guard featuring snap targets. Tim covers some tips on lighting regarding Gottlieb EM's. The next game covered is Royal Guard's twin, Palace Guard and the differences between the two and also some interesting tips on production numbers. Next, Tim talks briefly about pinball flyers and then briefly covers a Gottlieb MIBS wedgehead and a couple restoration tips. Then it's another Gottlieb wedgehead, Atlantis, a 1975 classic that resembles Sheriff and Lawman. Tim covers the two for 1 drop target setup and other features in this highly collectible wedgehead. Next, it's a semi rare 1948 Gottlieb, Lady Robin Hood. I learned something new from watching this dvd. Until seeing Lady Robin Hood, I always thought Bally's 1978 Lost World pin was the first mirror glass but apparently I was wrong. According the Tim, Lady Robin Hood's playfield is very similar to Humpty Dumpty and was the second flipper game produced by Gottlieb. Tim shares other trivia about this game as well. Next is a more recent game, 1993 Gottlieb's Gladiators. Tim then covers a rare Gottlieb Goin' Nuts from 1983. Only about 10 were made. Next is a look at Chicago Coin's Mini Baseball, a bagatelle style game. Next, another bagatelle style game, Ice Cold Beer. Then, it's a look at a Data East Rocky and Bullwinkle project. Then, a look at a 1934 Bally Action pinball machine, featuring a bouncer otherwise known as a solenoid. Next, is a Bally Skill Roll, another skill game. The dvd concludes with a United Mexico pinball machine getting smashed to pieces. Tim’s original tape is worn away from so many sales, so this is the next best thing. So, pitch those worn out VHS tapes and enjoy this dvd!$10, plus $2.00 to cover shipping. $2.50 of the proceeds will be donated to The Pinball Hall of Fame on every sale. 1 hr. 55 minutes total running time.
